I'm cherry picking from my collection, from Amanda Palmer to JS Bach, From Die Zorros to The Netherlands Flute Orchestra, from The Marketts to Björk and so on. If ever a show was eclectic it's this one. No playlist, you'll just have to listen as I'm announcing and/or backtracking everything.

WLPZ - March 19, 2019 6-8PM EST

Tuesday 6-8PM What are we not going to play? Both cuts by the late Andre Previn on the original Rollerball Soundtrack. Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, Shostakovitch, Tchaikovsky and Albinoni. And the middle 2 pieces of synthesizer 70's cheese. "Executive Party" background music when the athletes partying with the upper class. After showering and maiming.

Its the same thing with the Ennio Morricone Western soundtracks. Its all this glorious SOUND and then Ennio has to throw in some honky-tonk music when a cowboy walks into a bar..

Also, more than a few rare 45's with tracks from Atlantic,Atco, Monument, Felsted, Spinning Records, Monument and a few from Dade and 5 selections from the Band Box label in Colorado.

ABBA for Children [Dutch]

De afgelopen week heb ik mij in de ABBA-covers verdiept en ik verdronk er bijna in. De hoeveelheid cover- en tribute bands is echt ongelooflijk en Dancing Queen kan ik voorlopig niet meer horen... Het is moeilijk om er hierbij ééntje uit te kiezen, maar het is me toch gelukt. Een cover-genre apart is de cover gezongen door en/of aangepast voor kinderen.  Soms is zo'n aanpassing wel gewenst lijkt me, want "Gimme a man after midnight" is bijvoorbeeld een tekst die IK niet door kinderen zou laten zingen... 1. Er kwam zelfs een singletje van uit dat op youtube circuleert.
 

Uit de reacties valt op te maken dat dit voor nogal wat mensen jeugdsentiment is. Tijden veranderen.
