Join me on Fridays from 6-9 AM on WJUL 91.5. for Martinis with Mancini. A Luxuria music program.
We start the morning off with some jazz, swinging big band and vocals. Before 7 we do a Rat Pack set. Play some old Bossa Nova, Mambo and Cha-Cha records. Then mix in some Space Age Bachelor Pad Music, Exotica and new artists continuing the tradition or creating ambient-techo pop-nouveau and remixes. Crispy-clean fun for the whole family. |

After almost 4 years on the air "Martinis with Mancini" ended its run on May 9, 2003. A combination of changes at the station and in my professional life prevented me from continuing to volunteer any longer.
I had a great time. If you like programs like this encourage your local public radio station to investigate the possibility of putting one together. Based on the response I received in the Lowell area I'm firmly convinced there is a place for this type of programming in between the jazz, world, folk, blues segments you will typically find on your eclectic not for profit station.
