The new Taylor Swift video, colorful duel taking place in Paris reminded me of Serge Gainsborough’s collaboration with Brigitte Bardot. We will play “Comic Strip” along with “Initial B.B” and “Bonnie and Clyde”.  Worth going thru other video collaborations Serge did. There’s one we can’t play.. “Love is Strange” were familiar with the distinctive version by Mickey And Sylvia , let’s hear some other ones. Love Karen Carpenter’s voice? Wait for her singing “Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft” 7 minutes long. Practically a symphony at “Exotica Cool Strange and Unusual Music”. Esther Ofarim – “I Have Dreamed”. Looked up the song and it is a show tune from the 1951 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, The King and I. I’m a big fan of the movie “The American President “ directed by Rob Reiner and written by Aaron Sorkin. So it’s a pre “West Wing” production. There’s a scene where Sydney Ellen Wade is dancing with the president at a state dinner and the song is “I Have Dreamed”. It took me 20 years to realize that subtlety. She is dancing with “The King”.
